Gori show in Moscow as Italy Beach Soccer beat Greece 7-2

Following their comeback win over Belarus (4-3) in the opening fixture, Italbeach beat Greece 7-2 in their second  Euroleague qualifying match. Gabriele Gori starred once more as the Viareggio attacker scored four goals after finishing as top scorer at the Eurocup in Belgrade the week before. He made it 4-0 with a characteristic acrobatic bicycle kick to close the match off in the first half.

It was 2-0 in the first four minutes thanks to free kicks from Palmacci and Gori before Italy sealed the result in the first half with another two goals from the same pair. Greece reduced the deficit in the second half but Gori scored again after Palmacci missed a penalty. There was moment of glory for the goalkeeper Stefano Spada as he made it 6-1 towards the end before Gori scored the Azzurri’s final goal to make it 7-2. Today at 18:00 local time (17:00 CEST), the Azzurri will face Spain with the objective of finishing the group in top spot.
