Coach Ventura will no longer be able to rely on Giorgio Chiellini for the Azzurri’s upcoming two matches against Spain and Israel. The Juventus defender suffered an injury to his right calf this morning and after clinical and diagnostic investigations, he then left Coverciano for Turin where he’ll now receive further treatment.

After completing their morning training session, the National Team will travel to Madrid this afternoon, where tomorrow they’ll take on Spain in a decisive clash at the top of Group G.
