Bonucci joins the squad and will be available for the Israel game

Leonardo Bonucci will join the Italy squad tomorrow and take part in the afternoon’s training session. It’s welcome news for the Azzurri and coach Gian Piero Ventura after Daniele De Rossi withdrew from the squad earlier today because of a strong knock to his left calf suffered during yesterday’s friendly against France.

The Azzurri trained at the Stadio San Nicola this afternoon ahead of the Israel match, which is due to take place on Monday night in Haifa (20:45 CEST). The players who took to the pitch yesterday worked in the gym, whilst the rest of the squad had a more intense session. The Azzurri will conduct two more sessions tomorrow and another one on Sunday morning before departing for Israel on Sunday afternoon.
