Bernardeschi rejoined the squad for training in Montpellier

The Azzurri trained this morning on the pitch at the Bernard Gasset facility in Montpellier ahead of the round of 16 fixture with Spain which kicks off at 18:00 CEST at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. The session was open to the press for the first 15 minutes after a warm-up where the players engaged in one-touch rondo drills. The team then moved to another pitch at the sports centre to prepare for the match against Del Bosque’s side far away from the cameras.

Antonio Candreva was the only absentee while Federico Bernardeschi was back after taking a precautionary rest the day before. At 17:45 CEST, the players and staff will leave for Paris and at 19:30 the Azzurri will inspect the playing surface at the Stade de France. Coach Antonio Conte and Gigi Buffon are scheduled to take part in a press conference at 20:00.
