MILAN – Javier Zanetti is lending his face to AIRC’s cancer fundraising campaign for the tenth year running. Inter’s vice president has once again offered his support for the Italian Association for Cancer Research’s ‘Un Gol per la Ricerca’ initiative, which is due to be launched at Serie A matches on 8 and 9 November 2014.
The photo shoot for the campaign took place in Milan yesterday, Friday 10 October, with Zanetti joined by Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio and AC Milan’s Stephan El Shaarawy.
Zanetti said: “My commitment to AIRC was a part of my life as a footballer for many years. Now that I’m in a new role as Inter’s vice president, I want to carry on lending my support to the 5,000 AIRC researchers who are working to make cancer more curable.”
