Inter winning the UEFA Champions League Group Stage Matchday 3 game defeating Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday 23 October 2019 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.  This is the first win for Inter reaching 4 points in the third position  while in the first position we see Barcelona with 7 points.  Inter and Borussia Dortmund have both 4 points.

Congrats also to Sebastiano Esposito (17 years old with 113 days) becoming the youngest Inter player to make a Champions League/European Cup appearance since Giuseppe Bergomi in 1981 (17 years and 72 days).

It is Inter to open the score in the 22nd minute, Argentinean forward Lautaro Martínez defeating Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki with a right footed shot in the center. The assist is by Stefan de Vrij with a through ball.

What a luck! Oh well….. Referee Anthony Taylor giving a penalty to Inter in the 81st minute conceded by conceded by Mats Hummels after a foul on Sebastiano Esposito inside the penalty area. Here is the bad thing…. Lautaro Martínez failing to convert the penalty because goalkeeper Bürki saved it in the bottom left corner.

Good news now for Inter…. Antonio Candreva sealing the victory scoring a goal in the 89th minute giving a “gift” to all Inter fans at the Meazza. Candreva defeats goalkeeper with a right footed shot in the top right corner. The assist is by Marcelo Brozovic following a fast break.
