🏆👉  Inter ended the Champions League Quarterfinals Second Leg with a draw on Wednesday 19 April 2023 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.  The aggregate result is Inter 5 – 3 Benfica thanks to the 2-0 victory in Portugal in the first leg.  Inter reach the semi-finals of the European Cup/Champions League for the ninth time, and for the first time since 2009-10, when they won the trophy, under the management of José Mourinho. Simone Inzaghi could become the first Italian manager to take the Nerazzurri to the semi-finals of the competition, since Eugenio Bersellini in 1980-81.  Inter will play the Semifinals against AC Milan.    Stats before the game:    Benfica have already beaten an Italian side away in the Champions League this season – 2-1 against Juventus in the group stage – after not winning any of their previous six games (D1 L5) away from home against these opponents: the last success dates back to the match against Fiorentina in the Cup Winners’ Cup in March 1997. Inter have hosted Benfica once so far: in a UEFA Cup round of 16 in March 2004, which the Nerazzurri won 4-3; on that occasion two shotguns were made: one by Obafemi Martins for the Lombards, the other by Nuno Gomes for the Portuguese. Benfica lost the first leg of a European Cup/Champions League knockout tie by a margin of at least two goals for the ninth time; only once before have the Portuguese progressed from this disadvantage, when they eliminated FC Nürnberg in the quarter-finals in 1961-62, despite losing the first leg 1-3 (win 6-0 in the return leg). Inter won the first leg of a European Cup/Champions League knockout tie with a margin of at least two goals for the ninth time; the nerazzurri were never eliminated when they faced the second leg from this advantage position. Benfica have not lost in seven away matches (W4 D3) in the Champions League: it is the longest ever run of consecutive away games without defeat by the Portuguese in the European Cup/Champions League. Furthermore, Benfica have won their last two games away from home and could go three times in a row away for the first time since March 1990.

🏆👉 Lineup Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.

🏆👉  Lineup Benfica (4-2-3-1) Vlachodimos; Gilberto, Otamendi, António Silva, Grimaldo; Florentino, Chiquinho; Joao Mario, Rafa Silva, Aursnes; Gonçalo Ramos.
