U19s rack up three more points: Pescara beaten 2-0

PESCARA – Top of the table and still hungry for more. Stefano Vecchi’s Primavera side is running like clockwork. And then some. They’ve now notched ten wins from ten games this season, eight in the league and two cup outings. Pescara were the latest obstacle to be swept aside this afternoon, just like the rest.

It took the Nerazzurri Under-19s barely eight minutes to take the lead. Rocca was left unmarked in the centre of the box and allowed a free header to bag his second in four days, having netted in the midweek cup victory over Varese.

Ventre almost added a splendid second after beating his man with a sombrero, only to see his shot cannon off the bar.

Two minutes later (35), the striker was handed a more straight forward opportunity to get on the score sheet after Baldini was pulled down in the area. Ventre made no mistake from the spot as he put Inter 2-0 up.

After the break Vecchi’s boys controlled proceedings without ever really coming under threat.

It turned out to be a routine victory with three more points for the Nerazzurri, who remain comfortably atop Group B of the Primavera championship. The next hurdle comes in the shape of Sassuolo next weekend.
