Inter won the Supercoppa Italiana Final on Monday 22 January 2024 at the Al Awal Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Inter raised the trophy thanks to the goal by Captain Lautaro Martínez. Napoli and Inter faced each other for the first time in the Italian Super Cup. Outside of Serie A (and the National Division), the Neapolitans and the Nerazzurri have only met in the Italian Cup: 13 matches in total, for a balance of three victories for the Campania team, compared to five for the Nerazzurri, and five draws.
A trophy that Napoli has won twice, Inter who already have seven cups in their cupboard: the Nerazzurri are looking for a third consecutive success which would lead them to equal Milan’s record (always three, between 1992 and 1994).
Napoli remain with 10 players since the 60th minute after Giovanni Simeone was sent off for a second yellow card.

✅ Stats before the game: Napoli and Inter face each other for the first time in the Italian Super Cup. Outside of Serie A (and the National Division), the Neapolitans and the Nerazzurri have only met in the Italian Cup: 13 matches in total, for a balance of three victories for the Campania team, compared to five for the Nerazzurri, and five draws. Napoli have won only one of the last nine matches played against Inter in all competitions: the Serie A match on 21 May 2023, 3-1, at Maradona, thanks to goals from Zambo Anguissa, Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Gianluca Gaetano; three draws and five defeats, including the most recent in the league last December, close the run. Napoli will play their fifth Italian Super Cup final (the second with Walter Mazzarri on the bench, after 2012) and will face an opponent other than Juventus for the first time. Inter will play the 12th Italian Super Cup final in its history: only Juventus has more (17). Furthermore, the Nerazzurri have won the trophy seven times so far: only fewer than the Bianconeri (nine).
