Reykjavik the gateway to Europe

MILAN – Inter want to be playing European football again and to enter the UEFA Europa League group stage they have to beat Icelandic outfit Stjarnan in a two-legged play-off. This morning a plane carrying 21 Nerazzurri players took off from Milano Malpensa at 10:30 headed for Reykjavik, where tomorrow evening Inter will officially get the new season up and running at Laugardalsvöllur Stadium. The European adventure starts here for Walter Mazzarri’s men: their Europa League play-off first-leg encounter kicks off at 21:00 local time (23:00 CET).

Next week, on Thursday 28 August, Inter will host Stjarnan at the Stadio Meazza for the return leg.
