🏆👉 It’s party time!  Inter defeated Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League Semifinal Second Leg on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy. You can use any adjective to describe this incredible Inter journey: insane, monumental, heartfelt. The match ended 4-3 in favor of the Nerazzurri after extra time, with tears, joy, and hard work, as Barcelona was defeated and Inzaghi takes the team to the Champions League final in Monaco.

Inter secured their fifth final appearance in the history of the European Cup and Champions League (1964, 1965, 2010, 2023), while Barcelona aims for their sixth final (1994, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015), joining Bayern Munich, Milan, and Juventus in the list of teams with the most finals reached in the modern Champions League, trailing only Real Madrid (9).

We started again from the spectacular 3-3 of the first leg. Two years after Istanbul, for the Nerazzurri and Inzaghi it is the match of their lives. The aggregate result is Inter 7-6 Barcelona.

⚫️🔵 Inter took the lead in the 21st minute. Captain Lautaro Martínez scored with a right footed shot to the center. The assist is by Denzel Dumfries. Inter is ahead, the captain, Lautaro, has scored! Just before the goal, Barella forces Szczesny to a counter-attack after a beautiful sombrero. Barcelona starts playing again but loses the ball on Dimarco’s pressing in the central area, Dumfries goes to goal and in front of Szczesny serves Lautaro who doesn’t miss with an empty net. San Siro explodes, Inter is ahead.

Inter is enjoying themselves! In the 45th minute, Hakan Çalhanoglu scored a penalty with his right foot. The penalty was awarded after Pau Cubarsí fouled Lautaro Martínez in the box.

The first half has concluded. Lautaro and his fellow Nerazzurri teammates need to help Acerbi, who had a confrontation with Inigo Martinez following Calhanoglu’s second goal. The tension lingered even after the celebrations and the final whistle.

In the 54th minute, Eric García brought Barcelona closer with a right-footed shot into the top left corner, assisted by Gerard Martín. Martín delivered a cross from the left, and García made a perfect run to volley it home.

In the 60th minute, Dani Olmo scored for FC Barcelona with a close-range header into the bottom left corner, assisted by Gerard Martín.

Barcelona stages a comeback, with Raphinha scoring: his initial left-footed attempt was saved by Sommer, but the Blaugrana forward quickly followed up with his right foot to find the corner. It was a chilly night at San Siro.

Inter 3 – 3 Barcelona. In the dying moments of the match, Francesco Acerbi found the net with a powerful right-footed shot into the top right corner, assisted by Denzel Dumfries. After a long throw and a quick transition, Thuram made a great play, and Dumfries, using his last bit of energy, surged forward. He delivered a low ball to Acerbi, who, displaying striker instincts reminiscent of Drogba, anticipated the play at the near post and expertly placed it just under the crossbar with his right foot. The San Siro erupted in celebration!

In the 99th minute, Davide Frattesi found the net with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner, assisted by Mehdi Taremi. What an amazing goal for Inter! Despite being exhausted, Thuram skillfully evaded Araujo and set up Taremi in the center, who then passed to Frattesi. He took a moment to compose himself before slotting it into the left corner. Inter leads 4-3 in this thrilling match, with San Siro buzzing in the pouring rain.
