Parma v Inter under the microscope

A decisive Icardi
Nine out of 15 points have been earned by the Nerazzurri thanks to his decisive goals: Mauro Icardi is one of the four most instrumental players in the 2014/15 Serie A season, along with Tevez, Destro and Gabbiadini. Icardi’s goals have helped Inter claim wins against Sassuolo (7-0), Cesena and Sampdoria (both 1-0).

Inter’s 270-minute clean sheet
The Nerazzurri have not conceded a single goal for three consecutive games: 0-0 against Saint-Etienne in the UEL; 1-0 at Cesena in the league; 1-0 against Sampdoria at the San Siro in the league. In 10 of the 14 competitive matches so far in 2014/15, Inter have not let in a goal (including Europa League and Serie A competition).

100 Serie A games for Kuzmanovic
Zdravko Kuzmanovic has reached game number 100 in the Serie A, including matches played for both Fiorentina and Inter. His Italian debut came on 4 March 2007 in Fiorentina 5-1 Torino.

An ‘agitated ‘ Parma
Parma are one of the league leaders this season when it comes to expulsions, level with Lazio on three. The red cards have been shown to Cordaz, Felipe and Acquah.

Parma: six defeats in a row, matching league record
Parma have now arrived at their sixth consecutive league defeat, tying their own unfortunate Serie A record established in the November to December period of 2001. Should the seventh loss arrive today it would be their longest of all time. The only Gialloblù victory this season came on 21 September.

Mazzarri unbeaten at the Tardini for over 8 years
As a coach, Walter Mazzarri has played 18 competitive matches against Parma, with a record of 10 wins, three draws, and five losses. His last defeat against the Crociati at the Stadio Ennio Tardini took place on 9 April 2006, when his Reggina side lost 0-4 in Serie A.

Donadoni, winless against Mazzarri since October 2005
There have been 12 competitive meetings between coaches Roberto Donadoni and Walter Mazzarri. The record stands at three wins for the Parma coach, three draws and six wins for the Nerazzurri coach. Donadoni’s last victory over his rival happened just over nine years ago in Livorno 1-0 Reggina, on 23 October 2005. Since then, they have faced off seven times, with two draws and five Mazzarri wins.

Donadoni: heaviest defeat against Inter
This will be the 11th competitive meeting between Roberto Donadoni, as a coach, and Inter. The Parma coach claims three victories (all at home), one draw and six losses. It was in fact against the Nerazzurri that Donadoni suffered the heaviest defeat of his coaching career in Italian club football: on 16 October 2005 in Serie A his Livorno team was handed a 0-5 loss at the San Siro.
