Nagatomo: “I want to get back amongst the goals, but a win is more important”

APPIANO GENTILE – During an interview with Sky
Sport 24, Yuto Nagatomo spoke about Inter’s game against
Napoli and how the Nerazzurri are preparing: "We’re training well and hope
to win. It’ll be a tough game as we’re up against a quality side with exceptional
players. Who is better, Higuain or Palacio? I’d say Palacio. Higuain is good,
but Rodrigo is my friend as well as a fantastic player."

But Napoli weren’t the only topic of discussion: "The Europa League is
very important for us all. But we have to focus on Saturday’s game against Napoli.
Are we worried about AC Milan? No, I have a lot of respect for AC Milan, but I’m
not worried by their form. I often speak with Honda. He’s an exceptional professional
and a wonderful person. However, we won’t be doing much talking in the week
before the clash," he grinned. "I’ve yet to play on a losing
side against AC Milan, so let’s hope that continues."

The Japan defender also spoke about Walter Mazzarri: "He’s the right
person for the job. He’s a fantastic coach. What one thing does he tell me more
than anything else? He says a lot of things, but mostly that I have to run a
lot. I really miss the fact that I haven’t scored a goal in a long time, but it’s
always more important that the team wins. Let’s hope I score against Napoli."

Finally, a word on the World Cup and the presence in the stands during the
Parma game of Japan national team coach Alberto Zaccheroni: "Yes, I knew
he was there, but I didn’t have the chance to speak to him. There are no clear
favourites to win the World Cup, but my choice would obviously be Japan. Can
Japan win the World Cup? I hope so."
