MILAN – The legend is now immortalised in film. A life spent on the turf of a football pitch will now become a story for all to enjoy and an example to follow. Javier Zanetti – captain, leader, Nerazzurri legend – is honoured with a new film, Javier Zanetti: Capitano from Buenos Aires, by directors Carlo A. Sigon and Simone Scafidi.
The film will be shown on Friday 27 February at 20:30, with Javier Zanetti and a host of illustrious guests in attendance to celebrate a true legend of the game and take a first look at Javier Zanetti: Capitano from Buenos Aires. Tributes from some of the leading figures in football are included, with Jose Mourinho, Lionel Messi, Gad Lerner, Fiorello, Sandro Mazzola, Roberto Baggio, Massimo Moratti and Beppe Severgnini amongst those involved.
The event is organised by Inter and Nexo Digital in collaboration with Pirelli and other media partners Gazzetta dello Sport, Radio Italia and MYmovies.it. The evening will be split into two parts, with the film screened via satellite into the Pirelli Auditorium. It promises to be a magical night in the presence not only of the great man himself, but also of a range of special guests. An intimate event with one of the most well-loved and well-respected footballers in Italy, the evening will climax with the screening itself.
