Inter v Bologna under the microscope

MILAN – As we await this evening’s Serie A match, which kicks off at 20:45, we present you with some interesting statistics from Football Data regarding Inter v Bologna.
Inter, 33 matches without a penalty
Inter remain the only team this season that has yet to receive a penalty in their favour. The last one whistled for the Nerazzurri came on 8 May 2013, subsequently missed by Alvarez, in Inter 1-3 Lazio. Since then 33 league matches have passed.
Palacio, the most decisive player of the 2013/14 Serie A
With his goal against Livorno, which provided the 2-2 draw, Rodrigo Palacio took his place at the top of the rankings for the league’s most decisive player, along with Udinese’s Di Natale. The two have brought 20 points to their respective sides with their decisive goals.
Mazzarri, and Ballardini’s dismissal in 2012
The last time Davide Ballardini (who has been confirmed as Bologna coach until the end of this season) received his marching orders it came after a defeat from one of Mazzarri’s sides: on 9 March 2012 his Cagliari lost 3-6 to Napoli, ending his time with the Sardinian club.
Bologna without a goal from open play for 786 minutes
The Rossoblù have gone 786 minutes without a goal from open play. The last one came from Cristaldo on 24 minutes at Torino in Bologna’s 2-1 win last 9 February. Their following two goals, one at Livorno and the other against Cagliari, were both scored from the penalty spot.
400 professional matches for Moscardelli
Should he play tonight, Davide Moscardelli will celebrate his 400th match as a professional. 91 of those appearances have come in the Serie A, 258 in Serie B, 30 in C-2, 19 in the Coppa Italia and 1 in other competition, all wearing the shirts of Sangiovannese, Triestina, Rimini, Cesena, Piacenza, ChievoVerona and Bologna. His first game as a pro came on 9 September 2002, in Sangiovannese 1-1 Florentia Viola (Serie C-2).
