MILAN – Inter Forever have set off for China. The first group to leave was made up of Luis Figo, Javier Zanetti and project manager Francesco Toldo: they are in Beijing and from there the Nerazzurri legends will fly to Xi’an, the city famous for the archeological site that houses the Terracotta Army guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
As mentioned on the website earlier this week by Javier Zanetti and Luis Figo, Inter Forever will play two friendlies (14 and 19 October) in Xi’an and Wuhan. They will meet two local XIs, organised by Winning League, with big crowds expected for both games.
It’s a chance for the club’s Chinese fans to see some familiar old faces and show their support for Inter. The China tour will also include social activities, school visits and numerous events with main sponsor Pirelli and a number of local partners.
Here’s the tour squad:
Goalkeepers: Francesco Toldo, Enrico Messaggi;
Defenders: Fabio Galante, Francesco Colonnese, Massimo Paganin, Salvatore Fresi, Fabio Tricarico;
Midfielders: Javier Zanetti, Ousmane Dabo, Alessandro Bianchi, Luis Figo, Youri Djorkaeff;
Forwards: Mohamed Kallon, Lampros Choutos, Dario Morello, David Suazo.
Inter Forever’s tour will be covered on inter.it and Inter Channel (Sky 232), who will show footage from the games and keep you up to date with events from the #ChinaTour2014 throughout the week.
