XI’AN – Inter Forever’s long march towards China began Saturday and ended this evening with the arrival of Luis Figo and Youri Djorkaeff at the lovely hotel that will serve as the team’s headquarters in the country.
The group is now complete and the upbeat mood has already begun to charge the dressing room. At the behest of Francesco Toldo and captain Javier Zanetti, the lads spent an enjoyable afternoon at the stadium that will tomorrow host the match between home side Wang Baushang and the Nerazzurri.
The pitch is in perfect condition, an unexpected downpour has cooled the weather and organisers are expecting a big turnout. In short, everything is ready for the first Inter Forever event of the season, in a city made famous for the discovery of its Terracotta Army.
