MILAN – This season Inter will play in a new third kit showcasing their traditional colours with a bold and modern new appearance.
Inter’s famous blue is proudly amplified in this new kit, which consists entirely of two tones of the colour. The shirt, shorts and socks are all in blue on the front, and a darker tone of the same colour on the back.
These two tones are divided by a black stripe on both sides of the kit honouring one of Inter’s iconic home colours. The stripes stretch from the collar, along both shoulders, down each side of the shirt, the shorts, and right down to the socks.
When the players are in motion this stripe will move to accentuate the contours of their bodies to provide a real sense of speed.
“This half-half appearance is a traditional football design, but we added a new twist,” said Martin Lotti, Nike’s Creative Director for Global Football. “We wanted to utilise vibrant colour so these kits look brighter at night against the grass and under floodlights. Under a dark sky these kits will look electric, as if powered by batteries,and will provide an almost electric flash of colour on the pitch.”
The shirt also boasts a classic design with a sophisticated polo-neck collar and a three-button placket in the darker tone of blue.
Inside the back of the neck is a black pennant tab featuring the proud message ‘Milano E’ Solo Inter’ (Milan is only Inter).
While this new kit features Nike’s signature style and passion, it has also been designed to offer players the very latest in performance innovation, kit technology and environmental sustainability.
The new away kit will be available on sale from 25 September 2014 on nike.com, store.inter.it, in Nike Stores, Solo Inter in Via Berchet and selected shops.
