Inter and Barcelona’s captains will wear the same captain’s armbands for the UEFA Champions League match at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy on Tuesday 10 December at 21:00 CET. This special armband is to show support of FC Internazionale Milano’s initiative “BUU Brothers Universally United – #NoToDiscrimination”.
As reported by Inter, this is a way to reaffirm a position, attitude and a natural predisposition: that football should be about passion, about culture and about brotherhood. Since the Club was founded, FC Internazionale Milano has always fought to fight against any and every form of discrimination. That is the meaning of the “BUU – Brothers Universally United” campaign launched a year ago.
Inter and Barcelona FC will send a strong and clear message during the Champions League Match on Tuesday: we don’t say BUU to racism, we write it. And on Tuesday we’ll write it on the captain’s armbands.
