Bonazzoli: “I did my best, thanks coach”

SAINT-ÉTIENNE – There’s a first time for everything. For Federico Bonazzoli, tonight’s match at the packed Stade Geoffroy-Guichard was his first in European competition: “I’m happy. I did what the coach asked me to and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank him. He gave me my debut last season and this year he’s given me a start in an important game like this one.”

Asked about his relationship with the rest of the first team, Bonazzoli replied: “We’re a great group. In my humble opinion, I think we dominated the first half tonight. The team is united and we all help each other, we work together towards our common goal: to make Inter grow.”

Does he hope to get more playing time from now on? “I’m available and I train hard so that I can do well when picked. I’m at the coach’s service,” replied Bonazzoli.
