Here are the declarations of Genoa forward Leonardo Pavoletti while training with the Italian National team training on Wednesday 9 November 2016: “I’ve always been told that when a coach gives you instructions, it means that he is showing an interest in you, so I would say that’s a positive thing. Coach Ventura obviously wanted to chat a lot with me because I am not used to playing with another striker.  My movement was still not perfect and he wanted correct and limit my mistakes. As for Belotti and Immobile, I compare myself to them and this is the right thing to do: we are all young and we want to do the best we possibly can. The coach will then make his necessary decisions and I am always at his disposal. Every training camp could be the last for me so I will enjoy it right until the end.”

Italy could take one step closer to qualifying for the next World Cup should they win in Vaduz on Saturday: “We are very focused on the match against Liechtenstein,” Pavoletti continued. “It is important that we win this game if we are to quality. Following this we will then start to think about how we will take on Germany.”

The Italian team is preparing for the FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Liechtenstein on Saturday 12 November 2016 in Vaduz and the friendly match against Germany on Tuesday 15 November 2016 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy.
