✅  Genoa has announced that goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini is scheduled for surgery on Thursday 17 October 2024 to have a fatty growth removed from the right peritrochanteric area. This issue has been causing him inflammation and pain due to trauma related to his position.

Gollini’s absence will be felt in the Serie A Week 8 game against Bologna on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa. As it stands, Genoa is positioned 18th with 5 points, while Bologna is slightly ahead in 13th place with 8 points.
