Genoa win the Coppa Italia Second Knockout on Tuesday 18 October 2022 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genova, Italy.  Sad defeat for Spal Coach Daniele De Rossi on his debut in Coppa Italia as a manager in Serie B. De Rossi made his debut with Spal in Serie B obtaining a draw against Cittadella. Genoa will face AS Roma.

Genoa opened the score in the 45th minute. Albert Gudmundsson defeated Spal goalkeeper Demba Thiam converting a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The penalty is conceded by Gabriele Moncini following a handball inside the penalty area.

A special presentation before the game.  Diego Milito “Il Principe.”  Milito El Principe attended the game and the club awarded him a shirt with his name and his iconic number 22.
