MILAN – Mission accomplished! The Milan youth sector team the Primavera have won the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Football Championship in Dubai. The rossoneri ran out 2-1 winners against Real Madrid in the final, much to the delight of everyone at the club including the club president Silvio Berlusconi who was watching the match on TV.Milan made a dream start to the final and Di Molfetta broke the deadlock after just 15 minutes with a sweet left foot strike which went in off the underside of the bar. On the stroke of half-time, the rossoneri youngsters doubled their lead with Calabria timing his run to perfection and slotting the ball past the Real Madrid shot-stopper Luca Zidane.Hlal did pull a goal back for the Spanish side, but it was merely a consolation goal and the celebrations began for the rossoneri when the final whistle went. Congratulations to all of the players and the coaching staff in what is a great achievement for the Milan Youth Sector and of course coach Cristian Brocchi, who lost to Real Madrid last year in the semi-final of the Al Kass International Cup. This is what the coach had to say afterwards: "I am very happy with the team’s victory. I am pleased for the lads and to have won this trophy against Real Madrid. It’s always nice to bring home a trophy; it’s part of Milan’s DNA."
