This victory brings Dortmund closer to advancing in the Club World Cup knockout stages, with Dortmund earning 4 points and Sundowns 3 points.

Dortmund found themselves trailing after just 11 minutes but fought back to secure their second win in Group F, placing them at the top of the group with four points, one ahead of Sundowns.
