Great news.  Palermo and Empoli are promoted to the 2014 – 2015 Italian Serie A!  Palermo are returning to the Serie A after being relegated for the 2013 – 2014 Season.  It took Palermo 1 season to return to  Serie A. Empoli returning to Serie A after relegation for the 2012 – 2013 taking them 2 seasons for their return in Serie A.

Palermo ended the Serie B in the 1st place with 82 points and a positive goal difference of +33.  Palermo won the Serie B with 5 games to spare.  Empoli ending in the 2nd position with 68 points and a positive goal difference of +22.  The wide advantage of Palermo  of +22 points ahead of Empoli.  As per the rules, the direct promotion to Serie A belongs only to the Serie B 1st and 2nd position.  The third  Serie B team to be promoted in Serie A will be the winner of the playoff including from the 3rd to the 8th position: Cesena (65), Latina (64), Modena (62), Bari (60), Crotone (59), and AC Siena (58).
