MILAN YOUTH IN DUBAI

MILAN – The fifth edition of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Under-18 International Football Tournament will be taking place from the 10th through to the 19th of April 2015. The tournament is promoted by the Sports Dubai Council in a bid to sustain future talents and increase participation at youth level with 8 clubs set to take part: Real Madrid, Valencia, Milan, Al-Ahli FC, Al-Shabab FC, Al-Wasl FC, Al-Nasr FC and Dubai FC. The competition has grown year by year and become ever more successful. The first edition goes back to 2009-2010 with the participation of three European clubs, Werder Bremen, Valencia, Paris Saint-Germain, winner of the tournament, along with three other local sides Al-Nasr FC, Al-Wasl FC and Al-Ahli FC.In 2011-12 the second edition of the tournament was organised with Al-Jahra FC, Lens, Birmingham and an Italian Lega Pro representative side that won the competition and was led by Fabio Capello.Boca Juniors took part in the third edition along with Valencia, winners of the 2012-2013 title and that repeated the feat in the fourth edition that was staged last year.The fifth edition promises to be a closely fought battle for the title and the sides from the Emirates will be looking to end the dominance of the European sides. Valencia though are out to make it three wins on the trot.Diego Armando Maradona, who is working with Dubai Sports Council as a sports ambassador, will be on hand for the inaugural match as well as the final which will crown the winners of the 2015 edition.
