GALLIANI PROMISES SUMMER TRANSFER ARRIVALS

Adriano Galliani has been speaking at the Football Heroes Exhibition.

MILAN – Chief executive Adriano Galliani has been speaking to the press at the Football Heroes Exhibition: “Ten years ago we made three Champions League finals including two wins, a semifinal and a quarterfinal round, ten years have been wonderful and I look back with nostalgia at that shirt I hope that we can return to those levels. President Berlusconi?  He is full of desire, we are looking at a big transfer campaign. After a year where Milan we suffered a lot I hope we can get back to our level.”

On Inzaghi: “No, do not say anything, we have always said that Pippo would end this Championship, so there are twelve days to go and on June 1 we will take the decisions, we will see what to do, Inzaghi has a contract for next year and we are going to look at things, but we agree with President Berlusconi to wait until May 31 when he finishes the Championship. ”

The other topics: “Allegri and Tevez? The past has no remedy, we look forward, we look to the future, I’m happy for the two of them, I’m happy for Juventus, I always say that we are competitors at domestically, but those who play in European cups and he wins, like we have done more than any other Italian team, bring points for Italian football. ”

Then, the goals, no goals and technology: “We will gave Hawk-Eye next year which will tell us if it is a goal or not. There have been no comments from referees but we had some tough decisions, with two offside goals and one that did not cross the line but these were just mistakes and not done in bad faith. Then Menez was sent-off when he did not commit a foul and De Sciglio was sent-off after 40 seconds but referees need to be judges by their bosses, it is right for them to decide.

Galliani added: “We always close to our former coaches. From Sacchi to Ancelotti, Allegri. Fabio Capello. On the other hand, I don’t hear as much from Donadoni. We will have a big summer recruitment drive and Milan has a prestigious history. I remember Juventus, in 2010 came seventh, in 2011 came seventh and in 2012 won the Scudetto.  In ’98 we were eleventh of 18 teams and then we won the Scudetto in 1999. When you have history, you have tradition, you have culture of success, it is easier to start again. It has happened to Inter, Juve, to us. We have the desire to go on.”
