Daniele De Rossi Says “Goodbye” to AS Roma after 18 years from 2001-2019

It is a sad day for beloved Roma Captain Daniele De Rossi announcing his goodbye from AS Roma Club.   De Rossi made the announcement during a press conference on Tuesday 14 May 2019 alongside the Club’s press officer Gianni Castaldi and AS Roma CEO Guido Fienga.   AS Roma players also attending the press conference wearing a jersey with the name of “De Rossi” giving him a standing ovation.

    • In 2000, De Rossi joined the AS Roma youth system from Ostia Mare, where he had played as a striker.
    • De Rossi made his first-team debut for AS Roma under manager Fabio Capello on 10 October 2001 against Belgian side Anderlecht in the UEFA Champions League.  In his first season, De Rossi made three appearances in the Coppa Italia.
    • De Rossi made his Serie A debut with AS Roma on 25 January 2003 against Como.
