Aurelio equalized in the 44th minute, and Pellegrino matched that in the first minute of injury time. A red card for Plicco in the 76th minute left Parma down to ten players, and Spezia leveled the score with Lapadula’s goal in the 82nd minute. After ninety minutes, skipping extra time, the teams went straight to penalties. Spezia’s missed penalties by Edoardo Soleri and Gianluca Lapadula were crucial. Parma’s only miss came from Alessandro Circati.
