SEASON OPENER ON SUNDAY

This is how the two sides approach the season opener: 
MILAN- Following the TIM Trophy win last Saturday and two days of rest, the rossoneri will resume preparations and train today. Milan will then take part in a double training session tomorrow, an afternoon session on Thursday and a morning session on Friday. On Saturday afternoon the players will then go through the final session ahead of Sunday’s match versus Lazio. With the return of De Jong, there are currently no players struggling with injury with the exception of captain Riccardo Montolivo who is recovering from his operation for a broken leg. 
LAZIO- The biancocelesti on the other hand have to deal with the injury to goalkeeper Federico Marchetti who has a pulled muscle in his left thigh. Lazio go into Sunday’s match after a resounding 7-0 win in the Italian Cup versus Bassano Virtus last Sunday and are resting today. The capital club coached by Stefano Pioli will resume preparations tomorrow ahead of the match with Milan.
