Paris Saint-Germain triumphed over Bayern Munich with a 2-0 win in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Notably, PSG was down two players after receiving two late red cards. With Bayern pushing everyone forward, Ousmane Dembélé secured an additional goal deep in the 96th minute, propelling Paris Saint Germain into the semifinals on Wednesday against either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

A significant moment in the match was the farewell of Bayern legend Thomas Müller, who had previously announced his departure at the end of his contract this summer.

PSG, having recently claimed its first Champions League title with a 5-0 victory over Inter Milan five weeks ago, broke the scoreless tie when João Neves intercepted the ball from Harry Kane near the halfway line, launching the French team towards the Bayern goal.

Neves regained possession through a give-and-go and spotted Doué positioned just outside the penalty area. His left-footed shot caught Bayern’s goalkeeper Manuel Neuer off guard as it zipped inside the right post.
