It’s a great day for Italian football.  Italy Under 21 team qualifying to the UEFA EURO Under 21 Championship Playoffs to be played from October 8 to 14.   Italy defeated Cyprus with a super mega goleada scoring 7 goals against just 1 from Cyprus at the Castel di Sangro. Scoring for Italy Bernardeschi in the 42nd minute.  An own goal by Panayioutou in the 45th minute, Stefano Sturaro in the 56th minute, Andrea Belotti in the 62nd minute, Jacopo Dezi in the 70th minute, Samuele Longo in the 76th minute, and Daniele Rugani in the 80th minute.

Italy showing great spirit and reacting on time after being down by the headed goal from Captain Pieros Sotirious in the 29th minute defeating goalkeeper Francesco Bardi.  Italy equalizing the score with Federico Bernardeschi also with a headed goal.

The raining goals continuing from the 56th minute with Sturaro…. the rest is history!

Italy Under 21 will be among the top seeds.  The draw will be this Friday 12 September in Nyon.

Definitely, a great victory for Coach Luigi Di Biaggio who selected four new players for this match.   Di Biaggo using Sabelli on the left and Empoli players Rugani in the middle of the defense next to Bianchetti.   News in the midfield included the return of Viviani after his disqualification.
