Bolivia opened the score in the 28th minute.  Referee Roddy Zambrano gave a penalty to Bolivia conceded by Peru Carlos Zambrano for a handball inside the penalty area. Marcelo Moreno Martins converted the penalty defeating Peru goalkeeper Pedro Gallese with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.  It is a special goal because this is Bolivia’s first goal in five games.

Peru equalizes the score in the 45th minute. It is Paolo Guerrero to delight his fans defeating Bolivia goalkeeper Carlos Lampe with a right footed shot. The assist is by Christian Cueva with a through ball.
