MILAN – Both Luca Antonini and Nicolas Burdisso are both back fit for Monday evening’s match against Milan. More than 20,000 tickets have already been sold for the game at the Marassi stadium.Gian Piero Gasperini’s team will train today behind closed doors.

MILAN – Genoa-Milan on Monday evening will be a trip back to Japanese football’s roots for Keisuke Honda.The Marassi stadium in Genoa is where the first ever Japanese player in Serie A made his debut.Kazuyoshi Miura played for Genoa in 1994-95 and kicked his first Serie A ball in that city and in that stadium.

MILANELLO –  The rossoneri will continue with their preparations ahead of the match with Genoa with an afternoon training session today at 15.00 at the Milanello Sports Centre.

MILAN – According to the official Genoa website, the rossoblu took part in a friendly match yesterday against the lower league side Aqui. Genoa cruised to an 8-2 win with the goals for Gasperini’s side coming from Calaiò (hat-trick), Konatè, Gilardino (two goals) and Sculli.There was also good news for Genoa from the treatment room, as Nicolas Burdisso and Luca Antonini continue to make progress from their respective injuries. Both players made appearances in the second-half of the friendly match and seemed to have shaken off their recent knocks. They could be included in the squad for the match with AC Milan on Monday.Today meanwhile, Genoa will take part in a double training session behind closed doors. 

Mario Gomez visited professor Müller-Wohlfahrt in Munich on Wednesday for X-rays and a check-up.

The examinations revealed improved stability of the collateral ligament but also a decrease in muscle tone.

The striker will have another check-up at the start of next week and return to training in Florence from Wednesday,
