🇮🇹     Italy Head Coach Roberto Mancini continuing training with the squad in Birmingham on Sunday 12 June 2022.  Those who played yesterday evening completed a pool recovery session while the rest of the group got down to work on the pitch.  The Italian team ended Matchday 3 against England with a goalless draw on Saturday 11 June in Wolverhampton.

As reported by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), in addition to AC Milan defender Alessandro Florenzi, who has returned to Italy to undergo a minor operation that has been planned for months, Tommaso Pobega has left the camp. The Torino midfielder, who is unavailable for Tuesday’s match against Germany, will return to his club side in the next few hours to receive treatment.

Despite being suspended for the game against the Germans after picking up a yellow card against England, Sandro Tonali will remain with the squad.   The Italian team will travel on Monday morning to Düsseldorf for their preparations at Borussia-Park in Mönchengladbach in the afternoon. At 20:45 CEST on Tuesday, Italy will take on Germany ten days after the draw between the sides in Bologna on matchday one of the third edition of the UEFA Nations League.

After Matchday 3, Italy stand first place with 5 points. Hungary in the 2nd place with 4 points, Germany in the 3rd with 3 points and England in the 4th with only 2 points.

Italy keep the first position despite ending the UEFA Nations League game against England with a goalless draw on Saturday 11 June 2022 at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England.  Italy reaching 5 points thanks to the 1-1 draw between Hungary and Germany.

  The game is played behind closed doors at Wolverhampton’s Molineux Stadium, following the sanction established by UEFA as a result of the incidents that occurred at the Euro 2020 final at Wembley. Only 3,000 children are allowed inside the facility.
