• Stats before the game.  This is the first ever match between Leicester City and Napoli in a UEFA European competition and the English club’s first official match against an Italian team.  Napoli will face an English side for the 21st time in European competitions, with Leicester becoming the seventh different opponent, after Arsenal, Burnley, Chelsea, Leeds, Liverpool and Man City.   Napoli have lost only one of their last 15 games of the Europa League group stage (11W, 3N), 0-1 at home against AZ on Matchday 1 in the last edition of the competition.  In major European competitions (European Cup / Champions League, UEFA Cup / Europa League, Cup Winners’ Cup and Fairs Cup), Napoli are one of only four teams that have played more than 10 away games in England without ever winning (10 games ), after Anderlecht (17), Dynamo Kiev (15) and Club Brugge (12).
