Napoli failed the mission and lost the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Second Leg game against Barcelona on Tuesday 12 March 2024 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Spain. For Napoli, it is the first defeat of the Calzona era after five games unbeaten. With this evening’s elimination, Napoli also loses the opportunity to qualify for the 2025 Club World Cup, in which Juventus will instead participate. Tough!

Napoli ended the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 First Leg game against Barcelona with a draw on Wednesday 21 February 2024 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Italy. Barcelona took the lead with a goal by Robert Lewandowski. Napoli reacted with the equalizer goal by Victor Osimhen.
