2026/27 UEFA Champions League Phase Details

The league stage of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League kicks off on Tuesday, September 8. This season marks the 72nd edition of the UEFA Champions League, previously known as the European Cup, and it is the 35th season under its current name, as well as the third season featuring the league phase format. The 2026/27 tournament began on July 7, 2026, and will wrap up with the final match at Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid on Saturday, June 5, 2027.

Of course, we will be shining a spotlight on the four Serie A teams in the competition: Como, Inter, Napoli, and Roma. Let’s gear up to cheer for our teams as they aim for success in Europe. Also, a special shoutout to Como, who are making their debut in the UEFA Champions League!

The Champions League final in 2027 will take place at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, where the champions of the 2026/27 season will be celebrated on Saturday, June 5, 2027.

Madrid will host its sixth final, making it the second city to do so, with London being the only one to have hosted more. This will also mark the second occasion that the Estadio Metropolitano, home to Atlético de Madrid since 2017, has been the venue for the final. Previously, in 2019, Liverpool triumphed over Tottenham with a score of 2-0 at this stadium, securing their sixth title.

🇮🇹    The Italian National Referees Commission (AIA) has revealed the officials for the upcoming match between Inter and Monza. This game is part of Serie A Week 1 and will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy, starting at 18:30.

Referee Livio Marinelli from the Tivoli section will officiate the match.  Assisting him will be Vittorio Di Gioia from Nola and Domenico Palermo from Bari.  The fourth official is Davide Di Marco from Ciampino.  Matteo Gariglio from Pinerolo will serve as the VAR, while Valerio Marini from the Roma 1 section will be the AVAR.
