Hello my friends! Here is the Preview for the Serie A Week 13 for the games on Saturday 18, Sunday 19, and Monday 20 November 2017.  We are resuming the Serie A after the international break with the sour news that the Italian National team did not qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

The main battle will be for the leadership.   Currently, Napoli is the sole leader in the first position with 32 points. However, the race for the Scudetto is still a 3-way road with Napoli, Juventus, and Inter.

The awaited Derby della Capitale between AS Roma vs Lazio at the Olimpico Stadium.  It’s an emotional game not only to claim the bragging rights to rule the City of Rome, but it is also the first Derby without iconic Roma captain Francesco Totti.

Benevento is the only team in the Serie A without a victory losing all 12 games. It seems their return to the Serie B is almost a reality unless a miracle happens.

Results from Serie A Week 12

The top scorer of the Serie A Up to Week 12: Lazio forward Ciro Immobile with 14 goals.

The Derby della Capitale is a total thriller to claim the bragging rights to rule the City of Rome.  This is a special derby because there is only 1 point difference between Roma (27) and Lazio (28).  It is also the first derby without the iconic Roma Captain Francesco Totti who retired from professional football last season.   Roma and Lazio have won their last 3 games, respectively.

The last time Roma defeated Lazio at the Olimpico Stadium was in the 2015-2016 Season with a 2-0 thanks to the goals by Edin Dzeko and Gervinho.   There is one big ex-, Kolarov who is now playing for Roma played for Lazio since the 2007 to the 2010 making 104 appearances and scoring 11 goals.

There are 152 precedents in Serie A between Roma and Lazio.  Stats showing 76 games at the Olimpico (hosted by Roma) with 29 wins, 32 draws, and Lazio with 15 wins.  Roma scoring 101 goals and Lazio 68 goals.

Week 12 Italy Serie A Results 2017-2018 / Roundup / Twelft Round on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November 2017

Hello my friends! Here are the Serie A Week 12 Results for the games on on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 November 2017.

The status quo in the leadership remaining the same. Napoli in the first position with 32 points after a goalless draw against Chievo Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. However, the race for the Scudetto is still a 3-way road with Napoli, Juventus, and Inter.

We have a change in the 2nd position.  Juventus took over the 2nd position because Inter got a 1-1 draw.   Juventus defeated Benevento claiming full 3 points at the Juventus Stadium while Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium was unable to defeat Torino.

Benevento is still the only team in the Serie A without a victory and losing all 12 games.  It seems their return to the Serie B is almost a reality unless a miracle happens.

Bad news is for Genoa coach Ivan Juric sacked after losing the Derby.   The 115th Derby della Lanterna won by Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium

Results from Serie A Week 12

The top scorer of the Serie A Up to Week 12: Lazio forward Ciro Immobile with 14 goals.
