Mission accomplished.  Cagliari winning the Serie A Week 25 game defeating Bologna at the Sardegna Arena on Wednesday 3 March 2021 at the Sardegna Arena in Cagliari, Italy.  It is an important home victory because it helps Cagliari to leave the relegation zone reaching 21 points climbing to the 17th position.  A flop for Bologna interrupting their last 4 unbeaten games.  The win gives Cagliari an added boost towards salvation and good results of new Coach Leonardo Semplici.  Salvation is still a challenge because Cagliari are just +1 point above Torino with 20 points and two pending games.

Napoli with a sprint race to climb to the top 5 positions.  The mission was to win the Serie A Week 25 game against Sassuolo on Wednesday 3 March 2021 at the Mapei Stadium in Sassuolo, Italy.  Sassuolo battled literally until the very last minute and saying “NO” to Napoli in the 93rd minute by equalizing with a 3-3.  It’s a cold shower for Napoli Coach Gennaro Gattuso.  Napoli reaching 44 points remaining in the 6th position being -3 points below AS Roma in the 5th position with 47 points.

Napoli starting the game with a wrong foot, thee is the own goal by Nikola Maksimovic in the 34th minute.

Napoli equalizing for the 1-1 in the 38th minute with Piotr Zielinski.

Sassuolo taking the lead again before ending the first half in the 45th minute with forward Domenico Berardi.

In the 90th minute, Napoli taking the lead after Lorenzo Insigne converts a penalty with a right footed shot.

Incredible so, just before ending the game, Referee giving a penalty to Sassuolo and the magic occurs for Sassuolo equalizng for the final 3-3. Forward Francesco Caputo converting the penalty with a right footed shot

Juventus on their quest to defend their title.  Juventus win the Serie A Week 25 game against Spezia on Tuesday 2 March 2021 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.  Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first player to score 20+ goals in each of the last 12 seasons in the top-5 European Leagues after his goal against Spezia in the 89th minute.   Surely, an amazing history for Ronaldo playing his 600th league game.  Spezia needing points to keep away from the relegation zone.

Inter securing the 1st position after crushing Genoa with a 3-0.  Inter reaching 56 points having a +4 points lead over AC Milan with 52 points after defeating AS Roma.

Bologna with a home win defeating Lazio at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.  Three golden points for Bologna and chaos for Lazio on their quest to return to the top 5 positions.  For Bologna it is a golden victory reaching 28 points while Lazio remain with 43 points.   Wondering what’s happening to Lazio?   Imagine, tension is high that when Lazio was at 0-0 forward Ciro Immobile failed to convert a penalty saved by goalkeeper Skorupski!  It is a special victory for Bologna Coach Siniša Mihajlović celebrating his 100th game with Bologna in Serie A.

Hellas Verona battling against Juventus managed to grab a point at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium.  Juventus wasted the chance to grab the 3 points after leading with the goal by Cristiano Ronaldo.  Verona equalized for the 1-1 in the 78th minute with the goal by Antonin Barak.   Cristiano scored his 19th goal this season.

The battle for salvation.   Spezia dueled to make a comeback ending the Serie A Week 24 game against Parma with a draw at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Spezia.  Parma, desperately looking for points, had the lead with a 0-2 until the 72nd minute.  Spezia also in need of points managed to comeback from a 0-2 to equalize for the 2-2 thanks to the two goals by Emmanuel Gyasi.   The draw not helping much as Parma remain  in the relegation zone.  What a slap for Parma and a miracle for Spezia avoiding to fall down in the relegation zone.
