Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Juventus, 3rd position with 59 points and a positive goal difference of +21
Bologna, 9th position with 44 points and a positive goal difference of +1

Juventus failed to win the Serie A Week 32 game ending with a draw against Bologna on Sunday 30 April 2023 at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.   Yet, Juventus keep the third position reaching 60 points just -1 point below Lazio in the 2nd position with 61 points.  Bologna eighth with 45 points. Bologna took the lead with Orsolini’s penalty, Milik first missed the penalty, then equalized with a great diagonal shot from inside the area. Bologna and Juventus share the stakes, the protagonists of two goalkeepers given the many thwarted opportunities and important saves. Bologna have been unbeaten in five home games in a row in SerieA (W3 D2) for the first time since March-August 2019.

A special match for Coach Massimiliano Allegri celebrating his 100 benches since his return to Juventus, one hundred eleven different for the Tuscan coach.

Juventus have lost their last three league games and failed to score in the most recent two; the last time the bianconeri recorded consecutive defeats in Serie A was between March and April 1962 (seven).
With the victory, Juventus could momentarily leap to second place, Bologna overtake Fiorentina and recover eighth place. Juventus want to regain victory after three consecutive defeats in the league, but are facing one of the great surprises of the championship.

Bologna opened the score in the 11th minute. Riccardo Orsolini converted a penalty defeating Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The penalty is conceded by Danilo.

Juventus equalized in the 61st minute. Arkadiusz Milik defeated Bologna goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny with a left-footed shot to the center.

👉 Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Napoli, 1st position with 78 points and a positive goal difference of +46
Salernitana, 14th position with 33 points and a negative goal difference of -13

A sweet and sour day for Napoli postponing the Scudetto celebration after ending the Serie A Week 32 game with a draw against Salernitana on Sunday 30 April 2023 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Napoli, Italy. Simply put, today is not the day of the mathematical victory of the third title by Napoli, who will be forced to wait at least until Thursday, when they will try to win it again at the Dacia Arena against Udinese. In any case, the lead of Spalletti’s team over runners-up Lazio increases to 18, waiting for the Juventus match, which tonight will have the possibility of reaching -17, in case of success on the Bologna field. Ninth consecutive useful result, on the other hand, for Salernitana, which maintains a seven-point lead over Verona third from last and takes another small step towards arithmetic salvation.

The glorious moment arrived in the 63rd minute. Mathías Olivera opened the score defeating Salernitana goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Giacomo Raspadori following a corner conceded by Domagoj Bradaric.

The Maradona goes crazy with joy and Napoli almost doubled first with Elmas (who took the place of Lozano) and then with Kvaratskhelia.

A cold shower at the Maradona with the equalizer goal in the 84th minute. Boulaye Dia defeated Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Grigoris Kastanos.

✅  Stats before the game: Napoli are unbeaten in their five matches against Salernitana in Serie A (W3, D2); among the teams they are unbeaten against in the competition, the Neapolitans have only faced Crotone (six) and Cesena (26) several times. After achieving just three wins in their first eight Serie A home games against teams from Campania (D4 L1), Napoli have won all six of their most recent games, with an aggregate score of 20-1. Napoli have so far collected 78 points in Serie A, just one less than the 79 they collected at the end of last season – the earliest in their history in the competition the Neapolitans reached 81 points after 33 games, in 2017/18. After scoring in 16 successive Serie A home games (45 goals), Napoli have failed to score in three of their last four – notably, the Neapolitans have not scored in the most recent two and they go three home games in a row without a goal since February 2010 in Serie A. Thanks to two victories interspersed with six draws, Salernitana are unbeaten in eight Serie A games; for the grenades it is the best streak in the competition and it is also in general the longest open unbeaten streak in the top division.

👉 Lineup NAPOLI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Kim Min-jae, M. Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Lozano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.

👉Lineup SALERNITANA (3-4-2-1): Ochoa; Daniliuc, Gyomber, Pirola; Mazzocchi, Vilhena, Coulibaly, Bradaric; Kastanos, Candreva; Dia.

Italian Soccer Serie A

👉    Hello, my friends. Here are the 2022-2023 Italian Serie A Week 32 RESULTS / Thirty-second Round on Friday 28, Saturday 29, and Sunday 30 April 2023.  Napoli remain the sole leader with 78 points.  Mathematically speaking, Napoli will have to wait until Round 33 to claim the Scudetto after ending with a draw Round 32 against Salernitana at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Boulaye Dia’s equalizer silenced the Napoli fans postponing the “Scudetto Party” after Mathias Olivera opened the score in the second half.  Boulaye Dia equaled Salernitana’s record for goals in a single Serie A season: 12 like Marco Di Vaio in 1998/99.  For the first time in Serie A, Napoli scored 79 points after 32 matches (always considering three points for a win).

Napoli will have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to celebrate. After Juventus’ draw against Bologna, now only one point will be enough for Napoli to give the mathematical certainty of the title. But the Scudetto could arrive at the hotel as early as Wednesday, yes, if Lazio fail to beat Sassuolo at the Olimpico.

The Champions League race remains open with Inter, AC Milan, and AS Roma sharing 57 points each.  Lazio remained in the 2nd position despite losing the game against Inter. Juventus ended with a draw against Bologna, though, are in the 3rd position.

Fiorentina have won a game by at least five goals for the first time since Fiorentina-Genoa 6-0 on 17 January 2022.  With the goals from Duncan, Dodò, Terzic, Fiorentina’s total goalscorers in Serie A TIM rise to 13 in 2023, no team has done better in the set (Atalanta also has 13).

Juventus have gone unbeaten in their last 22 games against Bologna in Serie A (W17, D5), the Bianconeri’s longest open streak without defeat against teams currently in Serie A.

In 2023 Riccardo Orsolini is the Italian player who has scored the most goals in Serie A TIM (seven like Domenico Berardi).

Lecce won a home match in Serie A TIM for the first time since last January (2-1 vs Lazio). Lecce kept a clean sheet at Via del Mare in Serie A TIM for the first time since February 2020 (4-0 vs Turin).

Monza have scored 22 points in their first 16 away matches in the league; the last team to have recorded this result in the first 16 away games in Serie A was Chievo in 2001/02 (22 points). Nine of Monza’s last 10 goals (excluding own goals) have been scored by different players: Izzo, Sensi, C.Augusto, Colpani, Rovella, Caldirola, Mota, Pessina and Ciurria.

Milan and Roma have drawn in back-to-back Serie A games for the first time since 2013. Rafael Leão has been involved in 19 goals in the current championship (12 goals and seven assists), equaling the number of goals registered in the whole of the last Serie A TIM season (19 – 11 goals and eight assists).

It’s the second time in his career that Antonio Sanabria has scored double digits in a single season after 11 for Sporting de Gijón in 2015/16 in the top five European leagues.

Lautaro Martínez is the third Inter player to score more than 15 goals in at least three consecutive Serie A seasons in the last 55 years, after Christian Vieri (between 2000/01 and 2002/03) and Mauro Icardi (four, between 2014/15 and 2017/18).

Empoli and Sassuolo have never drawn in 12 matches in Serie A: in the history of the competition, no match has been played more often without ever finishing in a draw. Sassuolo are unbeaten at home in their last five Serie A matches (W4 D1), their best run at the Mapei Stadium since February-May 2021 with Roberto De Zerbi on the bench.

Simone Verdi returned to score in two consecutive Serie A TIM matches for the first time since May 2022, when he wore the Salernitana shirt.

Cremonese drew a home match in Serie A TIM for the first time since last November (vs Milan).

Atalanta, 7th position with 52 points and a positive goal difference of +15

Atalanta caused an upset by defeating Torino in the Serie A Week 32 game on Saturday 29 April 2023 at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy.   Atalanta in a full Champions League run reached 55 points, two points off fourth place. The draw between Rome and Milan still leaves everything open for Atalanta who can now dream of overtaking and qualifying for the top European competition. Meanwhile, with today’s victory in Turin, Gasp’s team momentarily surpasses Inter, engaged tomorrow in the home match against Lazio. Torino lost the opportunity to catch up with Monza and Bologna, currently two points ahead. Juric’s team hadn’t lost since 8 April, from the home match against Roma.

Atalanta need victories to be able to hope for qualification in the Champions League and will try to do so in the next round. Midweek commitment for Serie A: Gasp’s team will face Spezia, on the same day Torino will also be engaged in Marassi against Sampdoria.

Davide Zappacosta opened the score by defeating Torino goalkeeper with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Giorgio Scalvini.

Torino equalized for the 1-1 in the 75th minute. Antonio Sanabria level the score with a right-footed shot to the center.

Atalanta took the lead again in the 88th minute. Colombian forward Duván Zapata scored with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Davide Zappacosta.

✅   Stats before the game: After winning two games in a row against Atalanta in 2019, Torino have lost four of their last six games against the nerazzurri in Serie A (D2); for the granata there are as many defeats as in the previous 19 matches against the Bergamo players (10W, 5D). Atalanta have won their last three Serie A away games against Turin; in the competition the Bergamo players have a longer open streak of away victories only against Cagliari (four). Torino have failed to score more than one goal in their last five league games and in Serie A they haven’t gone more games without at least two goals since October 2022 (seven in that case). Torino have picked up just one point in their last three Serie A home games and have not gone more home games in a row without a win since April 2022 (D3, L2). Atalanta have won three of their last five Serie A matches (D1, L1), as many successes as those obtained in the previous nine matches played in the top flight (D2, L4).
