Monza and Fiorentina ended the Serie A Week 6 game with a goalless draw on Thursday 28 September 2023 at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy. From 28 September 2018 to 28 September 2023. Today Monza celebrates five years since Silvio Berlusconi’s arrival at the top of the Brianza club, protagonist in this period of time of an unprecedented escalation in the history of the club.

The two teams study and respect each other, perhaps too much. The pace is not very high and the opportunities worthy of note are few. Almost all of them arrive in the first half, in particular with Orsolini and Ciurria as protagonists. ✅ Stats before the game: In the two matches played in the last championship, Monza and Bologna collected an away win each; in the match at the U-Power Stadium, Ferguson and Orsolini responded to Petagna’s advantage by reversing the result (2-1, 31 October 2022). Bologna could collect two away victories in the first two matches ever played at the home of a single opponent in Serie A for the first time since 1988 (vs Pisa).  In the calendar year 2023, only Salernitana (13) drew more matches than Bologna and Monza in Serie A (11 each).  After the 1-1 draw against Lecce, Monza could collect two home draws in a row in Serie A for the first time since last February (three in that case); the Brianza team (1W, 1D) could finish the first three home matches of this tournament unbeaten after having suffered 100% defeats in these matches in 2022/23, on their debut in the top flight. Bologna drew the first two away matches played in this Serie A, against Juventus and Verona, and could collect three away draws in a row in the tournament for the first time since May 2022. The Emilians do not share the stakes in each of the first three away games in a single season of the competition since 1989/90, with Luigi Maifredi on the bench. In the last Serie A, Monza obtained their first historic point in the competition on matchday six, against Lecce; this season he reaches the sixth matchday with already five points in the standings (1W, 2D). After clean sheets against Verona and Napoli (0-0 in both cases), Bologna could keep a clean sheet in three games in a row in Serie A for the first time since April 2019. The rossoblù, on the other hand, do not draw at least three matches in row in the tournament from December 2020-January 2021 (five in that case).

Frosinone and Fiorentina ended the Serie A Week 6 game with a draw on Thursday 28 September 2023 at the Benito Stirpe Stadium in Frosinone, Italy. Fiorentina did better in the first half, breaking the deadlock after several chances with Nicolás González’s header. In the second half, the pace slowed down, and twenty minutes from the end Frosinone equalized with Matías Soulè’s first goal in a yellow-blue shirt. Viola misses out on third place, Di Francesco’s team’s good momentum continues

It is the fifth consecutive result for Frosinone which is also the best start in Serie A for the club.

Fiorentina opened the score in the 19th minute. Nicolás González defeated Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Alfred Duncan.

Frosinone equalized in the 70th minute. Matías Soulé defeated Fiorentina goalkeeper from very close range with a headed shot to the bottom right corner.

Lazio won the Serie A Week 6 game on Wednesday 27 September at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy. It is an important victory for Lazio to help them climb the Standings.  Lazio reached 7 points, while Torino’s situation remains unchanged. If the first half did not lead to a particularly lively second half, the opportunities in the second 45′ belied expectations; the fulcrum of the game is on the side of Sarri’s team, which shows a different competitive spirit with which, in the 56th minute, they take the lead with Matias Vecino, who takes advantage of Rovella’s cross to score the 1-0 goal.

The Biancocelesti’s forcing does not end, and in the 75th minute, an effective combination between Felipe Anderson and Mattia Zaccagni allows the home side to extend the distance, thanks to the goal of the number 20 who beats Savic from a few steps away. In the 93rd minute, Fabbri initially allowed Toro to reopen the match, providing the chance from 11 meters, but the VAR called the match director who after the check established that Isaksen’s touch did not occur with the hand but with the hip.

Lazio and Torino who will be involved in the 7th matchday respectively away, guests of Pioli’s Milan, and at home against Verona.

Lazio opened the score in the 57th minute. Matías Vecino defeated Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic with a right footed shot to the center. The assist is by Manuel Lazzari.

Lazio sealed the victory in the 75th minute. Mattia Zaccagni scored with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Felipe Anderson.

Sassuolo won the Serie A Week 6 game defeating Inter on Wednesday 27 September 2023 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy. Inter lost their first game this season, but remained in the first position with 15 points just like AC Milan. Inter are 1st based on a positive goal difference of +12 while Milan have +5. Inter stopped their five consecutive victories. Second success in a row for Sassuolo again against a big team, and first away win in the championship for Sassuolo, which thus rises from the 12th to the to eighth place with nine points.

Sassuolo, against all odds, overturned the result in nine minutes and achieve victory at the Meazza, after the success against Juventus last Saturday. The Nerazzurri took the lead in added time in the first half with Dumfries, who came back on the left and beat Consigli to the far post. In the second half, however, the neroverdi immediately started strong and, after having almost equalized with Erlic, they found it in the 52nd minute with Bajrami, who took advantage of Berardi’s assist and beat a guilty Sommer at the near post. Nine minutes later the Sassuolo captain goes on his own: he receives on the right, comes back on the left, bypassing Mkhitaryan and shoots beautifully from 25 metres, reaching the corner.

Inter opened the score in the 45+1′ minute just before closing the first half. Denzel Dumfries defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Marcus Thuram.

Sassuolo equalized in the 53rd minute. Nedim Bajrami defeated Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Domenico Berardi.

A cold shower at the Meazza! Sassuolo took the lead in the 62nd minute. Forward Domenico Berardi silenced the Meazza with a left footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Jeremy Toljan.

✅ Stats before the game:  Sassuolo has won eight of the 20 matches against Inter in Serie A (2N, 10L), only against Verona (nine) have the neroverdi achieved more successes in the tournament.  Inter have won five of the last six matches against Sassuolo in the league (1P), as many as they won in the previous 14 matches against the neroverdi in Serie A (5W, 2D, 7P).
