Serie A PREVIEW Week 21, Italian Serie A PREVIEW 2014 – 2015 for Round 21 on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February 2015, Matchday 21

Hello my friends. Here is  the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 21 on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February, 2015.  Juventus leading as the absolute leader with 49 points followed closely by AS Roma in the second position with 42 points. The gap now are Juventus +7 points ahead of Roma.  Simply put, the race for the Scudetto seems a two way race.

It will be interesting to see all new signings in this round.  Merry go round with players moving from one club to another.  However, a big loss for Fiorentina is the transfer market of Colombian midfielder Juan Guillermo Cuadrado to Chelsea.  Fiorentina might have “won millions,” but in reality losing technical quality without Cuadrado.   It’s a crucial round for AC Milan after their elimination in Coppa Italia and shaking performance in Serie A.  Milan’s objective to reach to the 3rd position seems now an impossible mission.  Hope is set with new signing forward Mattia Destro to boost the morale of the team.

Parma now without forward Antonio Cassano and risking relegation being in the last 20th position.   Milan vs Parma is a game for desperate points, a victory is a must for both.

Big expectation to see the ex Inter player Samuel Eto’o making his debut with new Club Sampdoria!   The return to Fiorentina for the second term of forward Alberto Gilardino… it’s an all test to check players after the transfer market…

The top scorer up to Round 20: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 13 goals

Hello my friends. Here is  the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 18 on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January, 2015.   Mamma mia, hello, hello, we are set for an exciting round because the Serie A leadership might change !  Here is the situation.  Juventus leading with 40 points while AS Roma following in the second position with 39 points.  Simply put, there is only 1 point difference!

What might happen?   If Juventus lose against Napoli at the San Paolo Stadium and AS Roma defeat or draw with Lazio…. we will have new leaders with the Roman gladiators commanding.    It’s a tough situation for Juventus going to Naples to grab the full 3 points while Roma are playing the Derby della Capitale against Lazio at the Olimpico di Roma stadium.  Napoli vs Juventus will be broadcasted in all 5 continents through most important networks.  An all Argentinian forward duel between Juventus forward Carlos Tevez and Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain….  Napoli already defeated Juventus in Dubai winning the Supercoppa Italiana, will it be a revenge for Juventus?  Will Napoli win again to secure their dominion over Juve?

It’s an amazing round not only for the Derby della Capitale, but also because the first 3 position might change!  So far, Juventus are owner of their won destiny because they can keep the first position winning their game against Napoli.  Simply put, Lazio and Napoli have 30 points each and both need to win their games too.  For Lazio, a victory against Roma means keeping the third position.  Now, if Napoli defeat Juventus and Roma defeat Lazio, wow, wow, wow, we will have a switch order with Napoli taking over the third position and Roma the first position.  It’s just a round to keep both eyes open and not blink…..

Awaited debuts in Serie A in this round include Lukas Podolski and Xherdan Shaqiri for Inter and forward Alessio Cerci with AC Milan.

The top scorer up to Round 17: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 11 goals

Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 17 on Monday 5 and January 6, 2015.   We are resuming the Serie A after the Christmas Break and these are the first games in 2015.   Challenge still open for the Scudetto.

Juventus ended 2014 as sole leader of the Serie A with 39 points after defeating Cagliari with a 1-3. Juventus commanding the Serie A and being the only Serie A team in Champions League.

AS Roma failing to defeat AC Milan at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium to keep a -1 point difference wit Juventus. The goalless draw keeps Roma in the 2nd position with a -3 points difference behind Juventus.

We have the amazing race for the 3rd position.  Three teams having 27 points: Lazio, Napoli, and Sampdoria.  It is a direct encounter on Monday with Lazio vs Sampdoria.  For the moment, Lazio hold the 3rd position for goal difference having +9 while Napoli and Sampdoria have +8.   Genoa and AC Milan have also chances to grab the third position.  Genoa having 26 points and Milan 25 points.

Cagliari coach Gianfranco Zola will make his debut leading the team against Palermo.  Zola replaced coach Zdenek Zeman.  Cagliari are in the relegation zone and the need for salvation is a “must.”

The top scorer up to Round 16: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 10 goals

Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 16 on Thursday 18, Saturday 20, and Sunday 21 December 2014.  These are the last games in 2014 as there is the Christmas break.  Serie A will resume on  Monday 5 January 2015.

Here is the situation.  Juventus will finish as leader in case of defeating Cagliari.   The only way Juventus could lose the leadership is by losing against Cagliari and Roma defeating Milan.   AS Roma will finish in 2nd position whether they win, draw, or lose against AC Milan.

Juventus and Napoli will be traveling to Doha to play the Supercoppa Italia on Sunday 22 December, therefore playing the Serie A game on Thursday 18 December.

We have an exciting round for the 3rd position.  Three teams having 26 points: Lazio currently holding the 3rd position for goal difference +9 followed by Sampdoria +8, and Genoa +7. The third position is open … who will grab it?

The top scorer up to Round 15: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 10 goals
