José Mourinho “for having, at the end of the match, in the vicinity of the referee’s dressing room entrance, taken an ironic attitude towards the same, uttering disrespectful words”. For the Special One, a €10 thousand euro fine was imposed. Not only that, the Judge also punished the Curva Sud for the chants intoned against Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Kessie: the closure for a round has been ordered, a suspended sanction that will become effective when similar episodes repeat.

In addition to having expressed himself specifically on what happened at the Olimpico during Rome-Milan (racist and discriminatory chants, plus Mourinho’s disqualification) and in Bergamo for Atalanta-Lazio (throwing coins to Reina), the measures also concerned Bologna (fine by €5 thousand euros “to have his supporters, at the 48th of the second half, thrown at the bench of the opposing team some objects”), Salernitana (fine of €4 thousand euros “to have his supporters, at the beginning of the match, thrown into the enclosure game two lighters “) and Juve (€3 thousand euros” to have his supporters, at the 6th of the first half, thrown a firecracker in the game enclosure “).

👉 The verdict regarding the Pepe Reina case

The Lazio goalkeeper, during the match against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium, was hit by a coin in the head thrown from the Atalanta curve. Here is the sentence: “Fine of € 25,000.00: to Soc. ATALANTA for having, during the match and in particular during the second half, repeatedly thrown various objects on the playing field, one of which (specifically probably a coin) hit, at the 46th minute of the second half, the goalkeeper of the opposing team, who collapsed momentarily to the ground, and then stood up and regularly resumed the game; mitigated sanction, pursuant to art.7 CGS, as the Club, immediately dissociated from the uncivilized behavior described in the report of the collaborators of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, with their own active collaboration and contributed to the prompt identification of those responsible for the last episode, for the purpose of applying the consequent prohibition of access “. Atalanta has already identified those responsible for the gesture: daspo for three fans.

Ivan Provedel was the goalkeeper making the most saves in the last round of the championship: 9 for the goalkeeper of Spezia, followed by Samir Handanovic of Inter, Ciprian Tatarusanu of Milan and Guglielmo Vicario of Empoli (5 ).

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is the record holder of the day in the ranking of total shots (8), scoring chances (5) and key passes (4 like Fiorentina’s Riccardo Sottil). The Juventus number 10 also hit a post, as did Andrea Belotti, Nicola Sansone and Andrea Petagna.

Rafael Leao was the player who recorded the fastest sprint speed, reaching 34.78 km / h. The AC Milan striker is followed in the standings by Torino wielders Wilfried Stephane Singo (34.74 km / h) and Ola Aina (34.50 km / h).

Atalanta was the team that made the most dribbles (15), thanks also to Josip Ilicic, record holder of the day among singles with 7 total dribbles, followed by Gianluca Caprari of Hellas Verona (6) and the duo formed by Frank Ribery of Salernitana and Pasquale Mazzocchi of Venice (4).

After 11 games, the best attack of the league is that of Inter with 28 goals scored, followed by Milan (25) and Hellas Verona (24). The best defense is that of Napoli who have conceded 3 goals. Followed by Milan with 10 goals conceded and Turin at 11.

Napoli keep the first position after winning the Serie A Week 11 game defeating Salernitana at the Arechi Stadium.  For the second time in their history, Napoli winning 10 of their first 11 matches in a single Serie A season, after 2017/18.   Napoli reaching 31 points and a positive goal difference of +20.  Salernitana down to the 19th position with 7 points and a negative goal difference of -13. Salernitana remain in the relegation zone and their hope for salvation is still a tough mission.

AS Roma with a big flop losing the Serie A Week 11 game defeated by AC Milan at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.   Milan become the third team in Serie A history to achieve a tally of 15 away wins in a single calendar year, after Napoli in 2017 (18) and Juventus in 2018 (15).   Milan and Napoli having 31 points each.  Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring his 400th goal in the domestic leagues in which he has played and 150 of these have been scored in Serie A: the first dates back to 30 October 1999.

Atalanta and Lazio remain distanced just by 1 point after the Serie A Week 11 game ended with a draw at the Gewiss Stadium.  Atalanta lost their last Serie A match against Lazio, having remained unbeaten in their previous eight matches with  Lazio(4W, 4D).   Atalanta being down twice managed to draw 2-2 and save the point thanks to the 94th minute goal by Marten de Roon.

Juventus succumbing to the pressure losing the Serie A Week 11 game against Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium.  Verona making an impressive victory with the leadership of forward Giovanni Simeone scoring the 2 goals.  Juventus have not managed to win in their last four games against Verona in Serie A (2D, 2L).  Verona have won now three of their last five home games against Juventus in Serie A (1D, 1L). Hellas Verona reaching 15 points same as Juventus.

A determined Torino win the Serie A Week 11 game defeating Sampdoria at the Olimpico Torino Stadium.  Sampdoria risking the relegation zone having only 9 points.   Sampdoria have won only 3 of their last 5 Serie A matches against Torino (1D). After a 3-2 win over Genoa, Torino win two Serie A home games in a row for the first time since July 2020. Torino forward Andrea Belotti “Il Gallo” scoring his 100th goal in Serie A, precisely, in the 93rd minute! Belotti is 27 years old and 314 days: only 2 Italians players have reached this record younger than him since 1980, Alberto Gilardino and Roberto Baggio.

Inter having +13 points above Udinese after winning the Serie A Week 11 game  at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  The victory secure Inter’s third position.   Inter winning 4 home games against Udinese in Serie A in a row with the Bianconeri since 1989 (five in that case).  The victory giving an added boost for the morale of the team ahead of the Champions League game against Sheriff on Wednesday 3 November in Moldova.

Fiorentina  win in grand style the Serie A Week 11 crushing Spezia at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.   The victory under the leadership of Dusan Vlahovic scoring a hat-trick to conquer all 3 points.  Spezia have only won one of their last 13 Serie A away games (3D, 9L): 2-1 against Venezia on the fourth day of this championship.

Cagliari with the urgent need to earn points dreaming with salvation continuing in the last position.  Bologna win the Serie A Week 11 game defeating Cagliari at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.  Bologna has not lost at home against Cagliari since January 2010 in Serie A and since then has achieved seven wins and three draws: from the 2010/11 season onwards the Emilians have achieved as many internal successes only against Sampdoria.

Empoli causing an upset win the Serie A Week 11 game defeating Sassuolo in the agonizing 92nd minute on Sunday 31 October 2021 at the Mapei Stadium in Sassuolo, Italy.   Empoli were losing the game and in the last 7 minutes scored 2 goals to silence the Mapei grabbing the victory.  Previously, Sassuolo have won all 4 Serie A home games played against Empoli: of the teams against which the neroverdi have 100% domestic successes, Tuscany is the one against which they have played the most (four).

✅   Stats before the game.  Sassuolo have achieved just 2 wins in 5 home games  this season (1D, 2P), on both occasions in which they have faced newly promoted teams (1-0 against Salernitana in September and 3-1 against Venezia in the last meeting at home). Having won only one of the first five games of this championship with Dionisi on the bench (1N, 3P), Sassuolo have achieved three wins in the last five (1D, 1L), including two in the last two days. Empoli have won three of the first four away matches of this Serie A season: only once have the Tuscans achieved four wins in the first five away games in a top league (2002/03).   Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi coached Empoli last season in Serie B, winning the championship – the 2020/21 season was the one in which the Tuscans recorded fewer defeats (three out of 38 matches).

Domenico Berardi playing his 300th match with the Sassuolo shirt in all competitions, becoming the second player currently in the squad to reach this milestone with the club after Francesco Magnanelli – the 1994-born striker has taken part in nine goals in the last eight matches against newly promoted teams in Serie A (seven goals and two assists).

Sassuolo opening the score in the 44th minute with the own goal by Lorenzo Tonelli, though the action started by Traore.

Empoli equalizing for the 1-1 in the 83rd minute with a penalty converted by Andrea Pinamonti.
