Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 16 PREVIEW / Sixteenth Round on Saturday 14, Sunday 15, and Monday16 December 2019.

👉 Up to Serie A Week 15: There is a three-way race between Inter (38), Juventus (37), and Lazio (33)

The status quo in the leadership might change in this round. Inter is in the first position  with 38 points.  The bad news that must be archived is the elimination of Inter out of the UEFA Champions League after losing the game against Barcelona.  Inter will have to put all their energies in the Serie A battling for the Scudetto.  Inter will play the away game against Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi Stadium  on Sunday 15 December.

Juventus with 36 points in the second position might take the first position only if Inter lose the game against Fiorentina and Juventus defeat Udinese at the Allianz  Stadium.  Juventus with an added boost after qualifying to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 and looking forward for the Supercoppa Italiana against Lazio in Saudi Arabia on 22 December.

We have the debut of new Napoli Coach Gennaro Gattuso replacing Coach Carlo Ancelottti on 11 December.  Gattuso will make his debut in the home game Napoli vs Parma on Saturday 14 December.   Napoli will have to increase their speed to climb the Serie A Standing being in the 7th position with 21 points compared to Inter with 38 points in the first position.   The good news is that Napoli qualified to the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 while Inter is out of the Champions League.

Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 15 RESULTS / Fifteenth Round on Friday 6, Saturday 7, and Sunday 8 December 2019.

👉 Up to Serie A Week 15: There is a three-way race between Inter (38), Juventus (37), and Lazio (33)

The status quo in the leadership remain the same.  Inter keeping the first position despite their goalless 0 – 0 draw with AS Roma at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.   Inter reaching 38 points and lucky that Juventus failed to defeat Lazio.   This is the biggest surprise.  Juventus losing their first game this season !!!

Lazio defeated Juventus  at the Olimpico Stadium with a 3-1.   Juventus failed to take back the first position because they needed to defeat Lazio and… puff… failed!  Lazio reaching 33 points remaining in the 3rd position being now -5 points below Inter.   Juventus had the lead with the goal by Cristiano Ronaldo, but it was not enough to secure the victory.  Surely, Lazio is highly motivated ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana against Juventus to be played on December 22 in Saudi Arabia.  Will Lazio win again?  Will Juventus reassure their dominion?

Bad news is for Napoli losing points after points and just waving goodbye to the Scudetto.  Napoli failing to defeat Udinese and the game ended with a 1-1 draw.   Napoli with 21 points is 17 points below Inter with 38 points.  Napoli will have to concentrate on the Champions League and do their best.

The situation for Napoli is getting tense because Parma defeated Sampdoria.  Parma reaching 21 points same as Napoli.  The pressure is for Napoli to learn how to win again or risk even being left out of the European zone.  Parma conquered the Luigi Ferraris Stadium with a 0-1 goal by Juraj Kucka.   The VAR ruled out a goal by Fabio Quagliarella.

A brave Atalanta grabbing a home victory after reverting the result.  Hellas Verona took the lead and at the end Atalanta reacted to claim the victory in the 93rd minute.

Good news for Cagliari climbing to the 4th position after the draw with Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium with a 2-2.

Bologna suffering a home defeat  at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.  AC Milan claiming the victory with a 2-3.  AC Mila reaching 20 points climbing to the 10th position.  Bologna remaining with 16 points in the 12th position.
