2024-25 Serie A Week 3 Results and Scores.

Check out the Italian Serie A Week 3 Results Live Scores happening on Friday 30, Saturday 31, August and Sunday 1 September!  I’m excited to share that the Italian Serie A is set to kick off again on September 15 with Round 4. During the international break, some of our Serie A stars will be representing their countries in the UEFA Nations League and various friendlies.

👉 🇮🇹  I encourage you to check out this post and click on the links for real-time Serie A stats, lineups, Standings, and more.

As we wrap up Serie A Week 3, there have been some interesting developments.  Roma held Juventus to a goalless draw, which is disappointing news for Juve as they lost their sole lead in the standings. Juventus now shares the top spot with Inter, Torino, and Udinese, all sitting at 7 points. Meanwhile, Roma finds themselves in 16th place with just 2 points.   On a brighter side, Thiago Motta got to evaluate his new players, with Conceicao making a solid impression. De Rossi, on the other hand, chose to rotate between Soulé and Paulo Dybala, with the legendary player making his entrance in the second half.

Lecce celebrated their first win of the season, moving up from the bottom after defeating Venezia 1-0. Unfortunately, AC Milan is still searching for their first victory, as they ended up in a 2-2 draw with Lazio. On a brighter note, Napoli pulled off an exciting comeback to win 2-1 against Parma, with goals from new signing Romelu Lukaku, Anguissa, and Bonny. This victory lifts Napoli to fourth place with 6 points, while Parma drops to ninth with 4 points.

Torino secures a win, bringing their points total to 7. Venice, despite putting up a strong performance, stays stuck at just one point.   In the second half, Torino bounced back and scored the decisive goal through Saul Coco.

It was a thrilling one-sided showdown! Inter humiliated Atalanta 4-0 at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  Thanks to this victory, Inter has extended their unbeaten streak to 12 league matches against Atalanta, with an impressive record of 7 wins and 5 draws.

Check out the live results for Serie A Week 2 happening on Saturday the 24th, Sunday the 25th, and Monday the 26th of 2024! This round has thrilling updates. Paulo Dybala has turned down an offer from the Arab clubs and will continue his journey with Roma. The saga surrounding Romelu Lukaku has come to a close as he makes his return to Napoli.

There have been some unexpected twists in Round 2! AC Milan is struggling, having only managed to grab 1 point after their defeat to Parma, who claimed a significant victory. On the other hand, Inter found their rhythm again by beating Lecce.

Juventus stands out as the sole team with a perfect record after two matchdays. They achieved their second consecutive win, dominating the game from the first half, despite Verona’s intense start. Vlahovic was the first to score, thanks to an assist from Yildiz, and the young Savona followed up with a header for his inaugural Serie A goal. In the second half, Vlahovic put the final nail in the coffin by scoring a penalty that Mbangula had won, dashing any remaining hopes for the Gialloblu.

Inter Milan enjoyed their first home win of the season by triumphing over Lecce at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The final score was 2-0 in favor of Inter. The first goal was scored early in the 5th minute by Darmian, who found the net with a header. Later on, in the 70th minute, Hakan Calhanoglu sealed the victory by successfully converting a penalty. Lecce is still at the bottom of the standings, without any points and a goal difference of -6. Looking ahead, Inter will face Atalanta at home, while Lecce will host Cagliari.

Parma had an incredible victory in their Serie A Week 2 match, triumphing over AC Milan. They are starting their Serie A season in an interesting manner, playing two home games right off the bat. Their first match against Fiorentina ended in a 1-1 draw, but they followed it up with a remarkable win against the tough AC Milan, which is a significant milestone for the team. Meanwhile, Milan is left with just 1 point, a bit of a wake-up call for them! And let’s not forget, Parma’s Coach Fabio Pecchia was also in high spirits celebrating his birthday!

Serie A Standing After the game:
Monza, 16th position with 1 point and a negative goal difference of -1
Genoa, 2nd position with 4 points and a positive goal difference of +1

Monza’s home debut in this championship didn’t go as planned.  Monza lost the Serie A Week 2 game against Genoa CFC on Saturday 24 August 2024 at the U-Power Stadium.  Genoa, managed by Alberto Gilardino, celebrated their win after a commendable draw against Inter. For Monza, it was a tough pill to swallow, especially after their goalless start against Empoli last week. The match was decided by Pinamonti, further emphasizing Monza’s struggles in attack, while Genoa came out strong from a difficult match. Monza is left with just one point, while Genoa moves up to four points.

The upcoming matchday, Serie A Week 3 will see Fiorentina take on Monza and Genoa play against Hellas Verona.

Genoa took the lead just before the first half concluded. In the 45+7′, Andrea Pinamonti scored with a header to the bottom left corner. The assist was from Stefano Sabelli.

✅  Stats before the game

Monza have won their only two Serie A games against Genoa; in their previous 40 Serie B matches, the Lombardy team had only won three times (D13, L24). Monza have won two of their last three home games against Genoa between Serie A and Serie B (D1), as many wins as in their previous 18 home games against the Ligurians (D9, L7).
Between the end of last season and the start of this one, Monza did not score in three games in a row and have never gone four consecutive games without a goal in Serie A (three also in December 2023). Monza have lost four of their last six home games in Serie A (W1, D1), as many defeats as they suffered in their previous 17 home games in the competition (W7, D6).
Genoa drew their first game of this season (2-2 against Inter) and have only drawn their first two Serie A games of the season on two occasions so far: in 1992 and 1962. In the last Serie A, Genoa won their first away game of the season, after having obtained only two points in the previous five (2D, 3P); the Ligurians have not won their first away game for more than one consecutive season since the period between 2009 and 2011 (three with Gian Piero Gasperini and Alberto Malesani on the bench).
