Torino and Monza played to a 1-1 draw in Serie A’s Week 13 on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy. This result allows Torino to accumulate 15 points, placing them in 11th position in the league standings. Both teams managed to break their streak of three consecutive losses with this draw.
The match featured two goals from corner kicks within just a few minutes. Masina opened the scoring in the 59th minute, but Djuric quickly equalized for Monza in the 63rd minute. In the first half, Alessandro Nesta’s squad appeared more threatening, but the second half saw a shift in momentum. With Njie’s introduction, Torino created several scoring chances, notably a double opportunity for Gineitis and Walukiewicz in the 75th minute. Monza struck back in the 63rd minute, with Milan Djuric scoring from close range with a header that found the bottom left corner. The setup was courtesy of Georgios Kyriakopoulos, who delivered a cross following a corner conceded by Adam Masina. Kyriakopoulos took the corner from the right side, right at the penalty spot, and Djuric directed his header into the far post, leaving Milinkovic-Savic helpless!
