AC MILAN Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic: IMPORTANT GAME AT PALERMO

Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has been speaking to the press

MILAN – Sinisa Mihajlovic has held his press conference before the team left for Sicily where they will face Palermo on Wednesday. The coach had this to say: We definitely have get our concentration back for the game tomorrow. If we do not do well in Palermo no one will remember the derby, I think with the latest results we have gained an understanding of what we can do and we must repeat the performance of the derby. If we can bring home the result it will be a consequence of how we played. They are a good team and have good players from the midfield up, but if we play as we know we can we can win. The results help especially if you win against teams ahead of you, we have improved a lot and I hope that these results will give the lads more conviction. This victory should be the effect of a bottle being uncorked then we will wait for tomorrow to see if there was in it champagne, a good sparkling wine or a simple lemonade.

RICCARDO MONTOLIVO
The team has great quality but we are not always been able to show that and this depends on our mental approach. I believe that these victories have given us great confidence and it must not take a step back. Tomorrow we will have to write another page in history. I believe that we must think of ourselves, now we are finding a good continuity, but to recover the points missed in the first half of the season needs a great deal of continuity. I think our dressing room is very united and compact with the coach, wants revenge and to show what our values are. We have pushed on from Roma.

IGNAZIO ABATE
We need to be ready at Palermo, the derby is set aside but we must not forget that we are still chasing third, and tomorrow we have to get the three points. We must be ambitious and we are focused on ourselves, we will have a number of positive results, but first tomorrow is a crucial match.

COACH SINISA MIHAJLOVIC A MILAN CHANNEL: “WE TOOK BEAUTIFUL SATISFACTION BUT WE NEED TO PUSH ON AT PALERMO”

MILAN – This is what coach Mihajlovic had to say exclusively to Milan Channel the day before Palermo-Milan:

We have taken great satisfaction to win the derby and I hope that this victory can be good but let’s see what happens at Palermo. I believe in these guys and I have always believed. The concentration must be maximum, the next game is the most important. I have a lot of confidence and I hope that these results show what we can do. When you win the fatigue is felt less, we are happy and we will make some changes, but we will try to change as little as possible. We have to make the leap in quality that especially comes mentally, if we play like we did on Sunday our team can take great satisfaction and fight for important things. As for Menez, it depends on whether his fitness improves or not, it is a long time since he played, he will play when he is ready. Football is joy when you win you have to enjoy it. Then there are games that you express what you feel inside, I try to keep a balance in me then I can be sad or happy. It is part of my character that fits or does not fit. We always try to put attacking pressure on then there are times that the teams do not come out and then we have to give them space to get them out. In the third goal against Inter we recovered a ball in midfield, which is when the action started. Kucka is an important player for us: his physicality, quantity and continuity, together with a nice shot. Inter are a physical team and we saw that in the midfield they were always opened up.
