Double award for Marchisio before Juve v Cagliari
A plaque in recognition of his first 300 matches for the club from president Agnelli, and the MVP of the Month Powered by Hanwha prize from a lucky J-Member. A standing ovation for Il Principino before kick-off
You can’t say it’s not thoroughly deserved. Two impressive achievements by Claudio Marchisio rightly called for a standing ovation from the Juventus Stadium faithful before the match against Cagliari. And Il Principino duly collected two awards for his efforts following the pre-match warm-up.
First there was a commemorative plaque for his 300th Bianconeri appearance – which came against Fiorentina last week – handed to him by president Andrea Agnelli.
Then it was time for J-Member Martina Divis to hand him the MVP of the Month Powered By Hanwha award for April on behalf of the Juventus Membership community.
A memorable night for Marchisio and an unforgettable one for Martina, who got to meet one of her heroes while soaking up the pre-match atmosphere on the hallowed J-Stadium turf.
Next time you could be the lucky J-Member doing the honours! You just need to go to the ON THE PITCH > Fixtures and Results section and vote for your man of the match after every game.

Allegri’s post-match Cagliari reaction
Allegri’s post-match Cagliari reaction
Massimiliano Allegri discusses a range of hot topics when meeting the media following this evening’s 1-1 draw with the Rossoblu
Massimiliano Allegri covered a host of topics in his post-match interview following this evening’s 1-1 draw against Cagliari, from the ovation received by his Scudetto champions to Paul Pogba’s condition ahead of Wednesday’s decisive Champions League semi-final second leg with Real Madrid.
Here is a summary of his thoughts:
Juventus Stadium reception
“It was a special day and it was inevitable I’d feel a bit emotional as well, I’m certainly not made of iron! The Scudetto is an important achievement for me, marking my second with two different clubs.”
Final outcome
“It’s a pity we didn’t win the game but the lads did well. It wasn’t easy, seeing as certain players hadn’t featured for a while. Maintaining our unbeaten league record on home soil was equally important.”
Pogba’s return
“Paul put in a decent display and is in good physical condition. It was important for him to regain his judgement of distances in the middle of the park.”
Real Madrid
“I won’t know my starting line-up right until the last minute. We know it will be a very difficult game in Madrid and a different one entirely, a more attacking affair. We passed up four or five decent chances in the first leg, we’ll have to put them away at the Bernabeu if we want to go through.”
